Shopify development

Custom themes, apps and integrations on Shopify, built to stay fast as the catalogue and the app list grow. Plus the honest limits of the platform.

Shopify is the shortest route from a product to a working checkout, and the checkout is the part nobody should be writing themselves. What we add is everything around it: the storefront, the integrations, and the discipline to stop the store getting slow.

Themes built to survive editing

A theme is a product a merchandiser uses daily. Sections and blocks are named for what they mean, defaults are sensible, and a campaign page can be assembled without a developer. The build stays in version control with a real review step — editing live theme files is how a Friday goes wrong.

Apps are a performance budget

Every app injects scripts into the storefront. Five of them turn a fast store into a slow one, and slow stores convert worse. We audit what each app costs in page weight and blocking time, defer what can be deferred, and remove the ones whose job could be a hundred lines of theme code.

Data going both ways

Stock and orders usually have to meet an ERP, a warehouse system or an accounting package. Those integrations run as our own service against the Admin API, with retries and reconciliation, rather than as a fragile spreadsheet export.

The commercial side, joined up

Product feeds, structured data, server-side events and clean campaign attribution are built with the store rather than bolted on after the first disappointing month. That is the reason our performance advertising team sits next to the engineers.

Where the platform stops

Deep B2B pricing rules, complex bundles and unusual checkout logic run into platform limits. When they do, we say so and price the alternative honestly — usually headless commerce or a different platform such as WooCommerce.

Sector context: e-commerce and retail.
